Sleep Deprivation. Stories of my Bullshit Youth.

“I used to drive around at night and listen to music, ‘cause I couldn’t sleep. And I was driving around, and I was wishing so badly that I had someone to talk to, a friend, someone. And I didn’t. And I saw this magazine stand, an outdoor magazine stand, and I saw myself on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, and it said something like ‘Winona Ryder the luckiest girl in the world’… And it broke my heart. Because, there I was y’know in so much pain, feeling so confused, feeling so lost in my life. I wasn’t allowed to complain because I was so lucky, y’know? I was so blessed, I made a lot of money, my problems weren’t real problems. I’m as nauseated as the next person when actors complain about their lives, y’know we are blessed, we are lucky. But the stuff I was going through was difficult.”

If you are not ready for her to call you at 3 AM freaking out, if you cannot handle her at her worse, if you only crave for her curves and not her mind, if you cannot deal with her mood swings, stay the fuck away.

I think once you’ve thought about how a person sleeps, how they’d feel pressed up against your back, or your head on their chest, how compatible your bodies would be in the same space of a bed — once you’ve thought about that, you’re fucked.

I want to be the last person who ever kisses you… That sounds bad, like a death threat or something. What I’m trying to say is, you’re it. This is it for me.

You tried to change didn’t you?
closed your mouth more
tried to be softer
prettier
less volatile, less awake
but even when sleeping you could feel
him travelling away from you in his dreams
so what did you want to do, love
split his head open?
you can’t make homes out of human beings
someone should have already told you that
and if he wants to leave
then let him leave
you are terrifying
and strange and beautiful
something not everyone knows how to love.

You’d be surprised what lengths people will go to not to face what’s real and painful inside them.
